Organisation Structure
Under the Supreme Court, there are 16 Appellate
Courts and 75 District Courts as general courts
of Nepal. In order to tune with the hierarchy, structure
and jurisdiction of the Courts the Office of The
Attorney General also has been structured accordingly.
At present there are 16 Appellate Government Attorneys
Office, one Special Court Government Attorney Office
and 75 District Government Attorneys Office under
the Office of the Attorney General. The Public Prosecutors/Government
Attorneys subordinate to the Attorney General are
working for him in different level offices throughout
the country. The power and function of the Attorney
General as conferred by the Constitution have been
delegated to these subordinates under the terms
and conditions as prescribed by the Public Prosecutions
Act 1993.
